Intracytoplasmic Sperm Injection (ICSI) is an additional component of an IVF cycle
usually used with male factor issues or when fertilization does not normally occur. The
procedure, done in a laboratory, takes one sperm and injects it into one egg. This is
done with sophisticated magnification and handling equipment. This procedure obviously
enhances fertilization rates.
At Chicago IVF over the past six months our fertilization
rates for this procedure is 74% per retrieval, and our pregnancy rate is 50% per retrieval.
Our Mission Statement: "...Exceeding patient expectations..."
